Final Fantasy Tactics
My rating: 9.5
This is an awesome game. It is my second favorite Final Fantasy, of all the ones that I have played so far. The story is almost as compelling as that of Final Fantasy VII, and the Job System could even be better than the Materia System, because it lets characters have specialties, so they must work as a team. The battle system is what really shines in Final Fantasy Tactics, though. It's a much more realistic battle system than any other Final Fantasy, because it takes into account things like attack range, movement, height advantages, and the use of obstacles. For example, rather than just trading hits with an enemy, one could climb to the top of a building or a hill and cast a spell or fire an arrow downward at an enemy, and be safe from the enemy's next turn (assuming the enemy doesn't have spells or arrows of his own). The only drawback in this game is that the battles are very involved and can take a good amount of time. Not recommended for those who like fast-paced action.
