Dexter's Somewhat Mediocre Page

Ape Escape
My rating: 8
A very hard game to get used to (the controls are like nothing you've ever experienced before (Unless you've played the old, old arcade game, Smash TV)) You control the character's movement with the left analog stick and you control the different gadgets that you use with the right analog stick. Because of this, it is the first game to ever require the Dual Shock controller. Once you get used to the controls, though, catching monkeys becomes second nature. You play as Spike, just some random guy, and you receive assistance from a few other characters. The character's voices don't really match the characters at all, but I think they did that on purpose for humor. The monkeys in the game all have their own personality and are just fun to watch via Monkey Radar. If there is one thing I don't like about the game is that it was too short and/or easy.
