Valentine's came about again (as it generally
does every year), and Erica and Darren spent the
day together. They both reminisced on the year
before, when they hardly knew each other, but
exchanged Valentine's cards regardless.

Shortly after came Spring Break. It was Spring
Break of the year before when Erica caught Darren's
eye and ate his pie. This Spring Break Darren
would leave for two and a half days on a road trip.
He wrote her a postcard from the Center of the World,
and was very happy to see her upon his return.
Fortunately, Darren's father had given him money,
and with it Darren treated Erica to a nice,
romantic dinner.

On April 14, 2002, Erica and Darren were spending
time together, as usual. Darren wanted to get
a treat for fellow Nerd Club members, so they
went to AJ's Fine Foods to buy crumpets. While
they were there, Darren noticed that they had a
sushi bar. Having some spare cash, he offered
an order of unagi to Erica. They sat and ate
the freshwater eel, and later went home to spend
a wonderful day with each other at Darren's house.
The school year was nearly over, and they were
excited.
