On May 4, 2002, Erica and Darren's school held
the annual Prom. Neither Erica nor Darren had
been to a Mountain Pointe Prom before, but now
they were going together. Darren had a sharp
burgundy tuxedo and a fedora that Erica suggested.
Erica wore a sparkly silver dress that was too
hot so they had to dance in front of a fan.
Nevertheless, they danced the night away and
had the time of their lives.

On May 29, 2002, Darren invited Erica to see
Garbage,
a favorite band of theirs, in concert.
At first, Darren tried to keep it a secret so
he could surprise Erica with the anniversary gift,
but he was too bumbling to pull it off. Still,
they were up there listening to the smooth tunes
like there was no tomorrow. Both enjoyed the
concert immensely, and it was even better being
there with each other.

Two days after the concert was June 1, 2002. It
was on June 1, 2001 in the Los Lagos playground
that this incredible relationship started. On
this day, Erica and Darren skateboarded just like
on their six-monthaversary. They also went out
to eat at The Bamboo Club. At almost midnight,
they went to the Lagos playground again, to
remember the moment that it all began, although
at that time the forthcoming year could not have
been known to be so great. But it was.
And as a gift and a way
to remember the incredible first year in love
with each other, Darren created a storybook
website, and posted it for the world to see his
love for Erica. Thus ends The Story of One
Year, but here begins the rest of the magical
union between Erica and Darren.
